Kozakura (小桜) is a reclusive researcher who lives near Shakujii Park and a college friend of Satsuki Uruma. She is willing to purchase the items Sorawo and Toriko bring in from the Otherside for research, and she is also their consultant regarding anything 'Otherside' related.
Appearance
Kozakura is a petite young lady with very long white hair. She often dresses in an oversized plain shirt and dark-colored shorts.
Personality
Kozakura speaks in a candid fashion and detests Toriko's officious behavior around her. She, however, tolerates Toriko's behavior as she goes out of her way to search the mysterious land of the Otherside, in hopes to find her friend Satsuki. Kozakura had explained that her serotonin transport gene is short (prone to get scared easily), she avoids going to the Otherside as much as possible, leaving Sorawo and Toriko to do the fieldwork instead. Despite her blunt and insensitive attitude towards the pair, she cares and looks about them, sometimes showing concern whenever they go to the Otherside.
Background
Kozakura lives alone in a rich residential area near Shakuji Park, where she spends her time researching the Otherside. Satsuki Uruma introduced her to the Otherside and a private organization named DS Lab (Dark Science Research Encouragement Association). Later on, Kozakura joined the said organization, trading information about the Otherside in exchange for some funding.
Before Satsuki Uruma disappeared, she and Kozakura used to do joint research together on the other world. Still, Kozakura refused to go after a while, not being able to handle the place. They stopped getting along, and Satsuki brought Toriko as her new partner. Kozakura continues her research work in her home as Toriko continues to search for Satsuki, bringing along Sorawo with her. She also buys off the items the pair acquire from the Otherside and trades them to DS Labs later on.
